W. Jakarta Holds Vehicle Emission Test

West Jakarta Government holds vehicle emission test for four-wheeled vehicles on Jalan Puri Elok, Kembangan, Tuesday (4/24). This event is opened by West Jakarta Vice Mayor, M. Zen.

We are targeting 2,000 vehicles to conduct emission test in three days ahead

Besides in Kembangan, he also mentioned, vehicle emission test will be held in two other locations which are in Taman Anggrek Mall and Jembatan Merah, Kota Tua, on April 25-26, 2018.

"We hope all department vehicles in West Jakarta Administration can conduct emission test. It will be our target," he affirmed.

He added, vehicle emission test is also done as assessment indicator for Adipura contest.

"Including ahead of Asian Games 2018. Hopefully air quality in Jakarta becomes better," he said.

West Jakarta Environment Sub-dept. Head, Edy Mulyanto explained, there are 367 four-wheeled vehicles came for emission test, consist of 218 diesel-fueled vehicles and 149 gasoline-fueled vehicles from morning to afternoon.

From that amount, he informed, six gasoline-fueled vehicles and 12 diesel-fueled vehicles are not passing emission test.

"We are targeting 2,000 vehicles to conduct emission test in three days ahead," he conveyed.
